Time for a Change

Once more silence has fallen upon this little blog of mine and I've been finding it really hard to balance my time and still blog, and enjoy doing it. I've put it on hold because whenever I did write I felt like my words were robotic and it was certainly coming through in my posts. So, I'm not a one for using the New Year as a time for change, it's never been a huge deal to me, but I think it's time to get my butt in gear and organise my life.

2015 is a pretty huge year for me; I need to finish my dissertation, I turn 21, have to move out of the house I've lived in for 2 years, I graduate (fingers crossed), I have to start looking for a real life career, I have to also start looking for a place to live meaning moving out of Cornwall for good. 2015 is basically the year my adult life truly begins. It doesn't have to be, but I'm content with it being so.

I don't like having regrets or being disappointed with where I've got so far but I have to admit there are more things I wish I'd done. I've said over and over how I wish I'd joined a society that got me doing something new, I wish I'd already found my passion in life and I really wish I'd seen more of the world. My biggest fear is getting comfy too early in life with the daily grind of working, saving, spending, simply living. It's the reality of the lives of everyone who struggles to earn a living, or even those who are just getting by, and I've always strived, in my mind more than anything, not to have that life where I'm just making ends meet, where I can't afford to go on holiday, or have relaxing evenings, days or weekends getting up to something interesting.

So I hope to make 2015 the year I stop waiting for life to arrive. Taking each day as it comes isn't the way I want things to go down, as cliche as it may sound. I want to find my passion by trying out new things. I want to attempt the things I've always been too scared to try. I want to continue doing the things I've found I love doing, blogging being one of them.

My blog will face an overhaul in 2015 too, with Life and Times of a Student no longer being appropriate upon graduation and I hope to take my blog to whole new levels, so watch this space!
