Valentine's Day Nails

By Unknown - 17:37

I'm another one of those people who aren't hugely keen on Valentine's Day, simply for the reason it's so bloomin' commercialised, but I don't see the harm in getting a bit swept up and covered in love hearts for the occasion.

This week I picked up some new nail varnishes, because who needs to eat? They were all relatively cheap and are so nice! I also picked up some nail art pens...which are actually brushes and not all that easy to use, but I still managed to do some valentines nails inspired by Jenn's post and her fantastic and much more well done nails.

I used:

Technic nail art brushes, 3 for £1.99 from Bodycare and Rimmel London 60 seconds in this beautiful shade of blue that I am now obsessed with for £3.70 from Tesco.

I love how my nails have turned out considering I've never attempted nail art before, and I just hope they don't chip before tomorrow night! Mike and I haven't got huge plans for tomorrow, a quiet night in with a homemade steak dinner and exchanging our cards and small presents. We agreed on a £10 budget but as I've picked little things up throughout the week I can't say I've stuck to the budget, but who doesn't appreciate a little treat!

I hope everyone has a lovely Valentine's Day whether you treat it like any other night or not, and whether you're in a relationship or not. It doesn't have to be about showing love for a partner, love is meant for all those who are special to you in your life, so have a fun weekend no matter what!

    1. Haha really? I thought it was a pretty shoddy attempt but thank you :) I kept it simple because my nails are super tiny, and because I'm awful at nail art :P x

  2. I never paint my nails because it always ends up in a mess, so these are really good, I wouldn't even have the patience to attempt hearts! And you really should get back into textiles if you have the time, I was awful at it in school but now I'm really enjoying it, although sewing machine will always terrify me!

    1. I rarely paint them because I always get bored in lectures and start chipping it off haha. It was quite easy on my left hand, the right hand definitely took some patience! I'm seriously thinking about it, may do when I've got more money! Oh god yes, I'll forever be scared of those machines!

  5. Thank you! I'm still practising, but mine always chip far too quickly so I rarely do it!

    1. Mike is my boyfriend. I dated a lovely man named Matt for almost a year but things didn't workout and we've both moved on and are happily with other people. I'm not sure how you came across the fact that Mike is a pharmacist - whether I've mentioned it in a post before I can't remember. But I'm not entirely sure why this is of any importance to you?
